Schooling in the Mud

Today we ventured outside for school.
The kids were excited about the nice breeze and sunshine and me...well....I wasn't going to let a little mud get in the way of spending the afternoon learning as we listen to the birds!

My youngest in his favorite boots. Holy knees & all!

My daughter in her favorite spot. Under a tree with a book.
{P.S. These giant umbrellas were one of the best finds ever for this home school mom & photographer! Only 2.00 each at a yardsale!}
                                             My young lady loves to go outside in style...

            even if there is mud under the balnket and in between her toes!
My Boys worked very hard...they finished their handwriting & math in record time!
Maybe it was the sunshine, or the fresh air, or the anticipation of another adventure I promised they could have after school work was done.
Either way I was one happy momma!

       As the wind blew and the birds chirped  I couldn't help but sit back
                         and watch them all three of my little blessings.
                            One day I know they will be grown and gone.
.

                             These clotheslines will be full of "Big Kid" clothes
                                          and the blankets will be packed away
                                 carrying taters and tears of the many adventures
                                   & school hours outside they carried.
                        I know that day might be here sooner than I want....
                  but right now they are still little {even if they are almost 13
                                 and may baby is almost 7!}

      They are my life, my every moment.
         They are why I stay home, teaching and raising them.
      They are why I smile. And laugh.  They teach me patience, forgiveness, and grace. {some more than others!}

     Every day they are changing and I don't want to miss any moment
                                                 big or little.

A moment {Where time stood still}
Dawn
